This isnโ€™t just an escape room. Itโ€™s a job.

Somewhere inside a safe house in East London is a briefcase. Your mission is simple: break into the building, locate the briefcase, and get out.

Youโ€™ll be met inside an unmarked vehicle parked near the safe house. Youโ€™ll be given the tools you need for your mission and your final instructions. From that moment, you have exactly one hour to return to that location with the briefcase.

If you succeed, you will be rewarded. If you fail, we will disappear.

The Briefcase โ€“ What to Expect

The Briefcase is a physical, multi-level escape experience designed to feel like a real covert operation, not a puzzle box in a single room.

Youโ€™ll move through a connected series of spaces that may include:

  • Multiple levels โ€“ accessed via stairs & ladders.

  • Crawling sections โ€“ low ceilings, ducts or tunnels where youโ€™ll need to get down on hands and knees.

  • Low light and darkness โ€“ sections lit only by emergency lighting, screens or torches.

  • Uneven surfaces โ€“ warped or โ€œrottenโ€ floorboards and changes in level underfoot.

There are no actors, and your team should be the only people inside the building.

This is a 60-minute, story-driven mission for teams who enjoy immersive realism, cooperation and a bit of controlled chaos. Itโ€™s not a โ€œsit and solveโ€ puzzle room โ€“ youโ€™ll be moving, crawling, climbing and making decisions under pressure.

If you have concerns about mobility, low-light environments or confined spaces, please contact us before booking so we can advise whether the experience is suitable for you.

Entry Instructions

Meet inside the back of a parked van 10 minutes before the start time of your mission. The location of the vehicle will be emailed to you in advance of your arrival.

FAQs

Do you give a traditional pre-show briefing?

Because the experience begins the moment you arrive.

We donโ€™t believe immersion should be something you switch on after a safety talk. Being gathered together and told โ€œthis is a game, hereโ€™s how it worksโ€ immediately pulls you out of the world weโ€™ve spent years building.

There is no pre-show performance, no out-of-character explanation, and no moment where someone tells you whatโ€™s about to happen. Youโ€™re not entering a game โ€” youโ€™re stepping into a situation.

Everything you need to know is communicated naturally, in-world, as events unfold. This allows tension, curiosity, and atmosphere to build without interruption, and lets you discover the experience for yourselves rather than being instructed how to play it.

Itโ€™s a deliberate design choice.

We trust our players to adapt, explore, and work things out together โ€” just as they would if this were real.

Is there a bathroom inside this experience?

Yes. The building really was used as a safe house, and thereโ€™s a small bathroom upstairs that youโ€™re free to use during your mission.
Itโ€™s been abandoned for a while though, so donโ€™t expect luxury.

Do you have a clue system?

Yes โ€” but not a traditional one.

There is no button to press, no camera to look at, and no out-of-world voice telling you what to do next. All information is delivered in-world, as part of the environment itself.

Guidance may appear through phone calls, printed materials, background interruptions, service messages, or systems embedded in the house. Some of it is useful. Some of it is partial. Some of it only makes sense later. Occasionally, it raises more questions than it answers.

This is intentional.

Why don't you accept late-comers?

We give our customers a 15 minute check-in window, which starts 10 minutes before the start time of your mission and ends five minutes afterwards. For example, if you have booked a 13:30 time slot, we would expect you to arrive at 13:20, which will give you ample time to scan your tickets and receive your briefing.ย

All of our systems โ€” including safety checks, consent recording, data protection, and in-world personalisation โ€” assume that once this window ends, the experience is already underway and no additional people will enter.

Allowing someone in after that point would place them outside those systems, which weโ€™re legally and operationally unable to do.

For this reason, even if you let us know youโ€™re running late, we canโ€™t admit anyone once the check-in window has closed.

We strongly recommend arriving early and reading the pre-show information we send you. Doing so ensures a smooth check-in and allows the experience to run exactly as intended.

Is this a horror experience?

The Briefcase is more moral horror than haunted house โ€“ think Black Mirror, not a ghost train.
There are no jump scares and no live actors, so itโ€™s not a traditional horror attraction.
Instead, the tension comes from atmosphere, pressure, and the moral choices you make. Itโ€™s especially suited to fans of spy, heist and conspiracy thrillers.

What is the age restriction for The Briefcase?

The age restriction is 13+, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and we administer this by enforcing a minimum adult-to-child ticket ratio of 1 : 1

Can I bring my phone into The Briefcase?

Yes โ€” but with a few important conditions:

If you choose to bring your phone (or any other personal items) into the house and lose it during the game, we can allow only five minutes for retrieval before the next group must begin. After that, you will need to leave your contact details and our team will contact you to arrange an appointment for you to collect your lost property.ย

The safe house is large, dimly lit, and filled with places where items can be easily misplaced. For that reason, we strongly recommend the following:

  • Keep your phone on loud (not silent or vibrate)

  • Enable voice activation (e.g., โ€œHey Siriโ€ / โ€œOK Googleโ€) so we can help locate it quickly if needed

Please remember: if you bring valuables into the experience, you do so at your own risk โ€” and we cannot delay other guests if youโ€™re unable to keep track of them.

I am pregnant, is this event suitable for me?

The experience may involve moments of physical intensity, startle effects, and an unpredictable environment โ€” all of which make it unsafe during pregnancy.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes and shoes with a good grip โ€“ trainers are perfect. Please avoid high heel shoes or any shoes which have a smooth leather bottom, like formal wear.

Do you have customer parking?

We do not have a customer parking facility. However, there are plenty of parking bays on adjacent streets.

How do we access footage from the experience?

After attending the event, you can log in using the email address you used at check-in and access your footage via theย Attendee Dashboard. Please note: this system is currently in beta and is provided as a gesture of goodwill โ€” we cannot guarantee availability, functionality, or technical support. Access is only granted if all members of your group check in and no one has opted-out of peer sharing.

Will we be joined by other people?

No. All showings of The Briefcase are private which means you will not be joined by any other persons.

However, you can add extra friends to your booking up to the maximum capacity (6) up to two hours before the start time of your booking, by logging in, finding your order and clicking on the button "Buy More Tickets".

What is the recommended age for this show?

While The Briefcase was designed predominantly with adult players in mind, it is suitable for players aged 13+.ย

Families are very welcome โ€” having one or two under-16s in the group is absolutely fine. We just require 1:1 adult supervision for any under-16s due to ladders and crawl tunnels. So it works great as a family outing, but itโ€™s not the right fit for โ€˜five kids + one adultโ€™ style birthday groups. For that kind of celebration, we strongly suggest Granny.
